This album was originally intended to be recorded three years ago when Gurl & Girl opened it's brand new "Fabulous 50s Show" (now re-titled: "Laughing With The Legends").
As each season passed, our busy and wacky work schedule seemed to push this project to the back burner. That is, until I had the good fortune of producing a show featuring drummer Byron Hedgepeth, Bassist Eliot Wadopian and Violinist Lenny Ski at a place called Young's Mountain Music in Burnsville NC. The show - Red Hot Jubilee Jam - was a huge success and ... what a band! So folks, like a modified Chevy, these arrangements aren't stock -they're "souped up" - hopefully in a way that brings joy to your heart and a smile to your face. Together with this fabulously talented band, "Cruisin" Through The 50s" is 'pure Brian' - his essence, his soul and his artistry. Enjoy the ride!
