Smokin' The Ivories

From George Gershwin to Elton John & Fats Waller to Ray Charles - pianist, vocalist, actor and impressionist -Brian Gurl engages the audience in a rich potpourri of exciting musical arrangements, artful antics and piano shenanigans. Together with a bassist, drummer and horn player, Brian paints a picture with his music -whether it's bees buzzing around him (flight Of The Bumble Bee) or the dazzling splendor of The Rhapsody In Blue.
Highlighted by a Tribute to the Great Piano Entertainers of the 20th Century, Brian also showcases his adept knack for mimicry - singing and playing a scintillating fusion of Jazz, Rock 'n Roll, Ragtime, Boogi-Woogie, Broadway, The Blues and Pop.

" Wow! Both matinee and evening audiences were enthusiastic with their applause and rose for standing ovations at the end. I have heard many The Rhapsody In Blue played by many fine pianists over the years, but never with more flair, more sensitivity, more emotion and such fire!"
